California Privacy Addendum for California Residents
1. Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights with respect to your Personal Information we collect and process, subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements:
1. Right to Know/Access – to request that we disclose:
- the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you;
- the categories of sources from which the information was collected;
- our business or commercial purposes for collecting, sharing, or disclosing the information;
- the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed the information; and
- the categories of Personal Information that we shared or disclosed for a business purpose.
2. Right to Delete – to request deletion of Personal Information we hold about you, unless retention is required by law or otherwise permitted by the CCPA.
3. Right to Correct – to request that we correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information.
4. Right to Data Portability – to request that we provide a copy of your Personal Information in a portable and readily usable format.
5. Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing – to direct us not to “sell” or “share” your Personal Information, as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
- Sale: CAI does not sell Personal Information for money.
- Sharing: Because CAI uses LinkedIn Ads and other retargeting technologies that may involve sharing identifiers (e.g., IP address, device ID, cookie data) for cross-context behavioral advertising, you may opt out of this sharing at any time by:
- contacting us using one of the methods in Section 6 below; or
- adjusting your cookie preferences in your web browser to reject advertising cookies.
6. Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information – CAI uses limited Sensitive Personal Information (e.g., geolocation data) solely for operational and marketing purposes. You may direct us to limit the use and disclosure of your Sensitive Personal Information to that which is necessary to perform our services or comply with law.
7. Right to Non-Discrimination – we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights under the CCPA.
8. Right to Appeal – if we deny a request, you may appeal our decision by contacting us as set forth in Section 6 below.
2. Categories of Personal Information Collected, Disclosed, or Shared
CAI collects, uses, and discloses the categories of Personal Information listed in our Global Privacy Notice under “Additional Information for California and Other U.S. State Residents.” Within the preceding twelve (12) months, CAI has shared identifiers (such as IP address and online identifiers) with third-party advertising networks (e.g., LinkedIn Ads) for cross-context behavioral advertising. CAI does not sell Personal Information as defined by the CCPA.
3. Retention of Personal Information
CAI retains each category of Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
In general:
- Contact and account data: retained for the life of the customer relationship plus up to seven years;
- Transactional and system logs: retained for up to seven years;
- Marketing data and cookies: retained for up to two years from collection or last interaction;
- Legal and compliance records: retained as required by law.
4. Notice at Collection
CAI collects Personal Information for the business and commercial purposes described in our Global Privacy Notice. At or before the point of collection, CAI makes this Addendum available via a direct link on its websites and digital forms titled “California Privacy Notice at Collection.”
5. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We require the agent to provide written and signed authorization, or a letter from your attorney, and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (or as permitted by law). We may require you to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
